Where do I find my account and validation numbers ?


·         Are you looking to download a demo version of an OTEA Software product?


o        To obtain a demo product, if you are not currently a registered product owner, enter your email address and click Create Temp Account. Your temporary account number will be emailed to you. Enter the temporary account into the account number box. You will not need a validation code to receive a product demo.


·         Are you a registered user of an OTEA software (formerly Fast-Tax FPS) product?


o        Run your OTEA software, from the menu select help, then about. Within the about box, select the first option: User Info. Your account number will be in the last two lines on this screen. Both the account number and validation code are clearly labeled.


·         My account number begins with ‘Z’ and I do not see my validation number.


o        Recent improvements to Thomson Reuter’s systems may have changed your account number from something like “ZXXX-0000” to a ten digit numeric account number. If your user info screen displays an account number beginning with the letter Z, then you do not need a validation number. Simply type in your complete account number, e.g. ZABC-1234 into the account number field.


·         I just bought my first OTEA Software product and I am trying to download it.


o        Find your Thomson Reuters welcome email. This letter will contain your account number and validation code.


·         I’ve tried all these things and I still cannot get to my products page!
